on Tuesday – the winner of the contest is set to be nominated in the Senedd the
following day.
If the opposition parties – the Welsh Conservatives, Plaid
Cymru or one Liberal Democrat MS – nominate someone else, there could be a
roll-call vote.
Labour holds half the seats in Cardiff Bay, meaning it’s
unlikely to have any difficulty ensuring its new leader becomes the first
minister.
